OUR LOVE STORY
In December 2020, Lainey and Cody finally met in person after he added her on every social media platform. Following 2 years of Cody working with her dad, and her dad saying: “You would like him. He is tall, and a good worker”, she finally decided to ask him to hang out after ditching him a few times prior.. She knew she liked him, when she got Covid, and he offered to bring her Taco Bell.
Because everything was closed down due to Covid, they had to spend a lot of time together by watching movies, and getting to know each other and finding they had a lot of similarities, especially their humor. He accepted her 2 dogs, 1 cat, 1 roommate (Cassidy) and roommate's dog with no complaints. A little over a month after hanging out, Lainey said “So, when are you going to ask me to be your girlfriend?” and he asked on January 10, 2021.
Fast forward almost three and a half years later, Cody told Lainey they were going to take family photos, and Lainey did not believe him as they just took family photos months prior. Luckily, she dressed up just in case, and when he asked her she took the ring directly out of the box and put it on herself, completely forgetting that Cody was supposed to do that. They immediately started planning the day after he asked, and the rest is history.
